Will we be ready to face 21st December 2012?
On Thursday I was in Kajang where I saw homes and vehicles immense in water. It is sad that inspite of repeated warning, the authorities neglect to do their work. The reason why the people have elected these representatives is to voice their complaints to the right channels and get things done properly. But so far no-one give a damn.
Mayan Calendar final reading ends on 21st December 2012. What happens then, no-one knows. Then there is Noah's Ark (Hebrew: תיבת נח, Teyvat Noaḥ in Classical Hebrew) is a vessel appearing in the Book of Genesis(chapters 6–9) and the Quran (surahs Hud and Al-Mu’minoon). These narratives describe the construction of a large, seagoing ark by the Patriarch Noah at God's command to save himself, his family, and the world's animals from the worldwide deluge of the Great Flood.
In the narrative of the ark, God sees the wickedness of man and is grieved by his creation, resolving to send a great flood to cleanse the Earth. However, God chose a man named Noah and "counted it righteous to him" to live and also to preserve his creation mankind through Noah's family. God then proceeds to give Noah detailed instructions how to build a seaworthy ark. When Noah and the animals are safe on board, God sends the Flood, which rises until all the mountains are covered and all life on Earth is destroyed. At the height of the flood, the ark rests on mountaintops, before the waters recede and dry land reappears. Noah, his family, and the animals leave the ark to repopulate the Earth.
So does the final reading of the Mayan Calendar and Noah's Ark tell us the same story and that is to prepare for the big wave.
Last year we had the Japan tsunami, Chile earthquake etc round the world. Here in Malaysia we have many unexpected areas flooded for example Jalan Tun Razak.
For the past six months we get heavy rain and also unusual hot weather on the same day. One minute the heat burn our skin and the next heavy storm. These are sighs not to be taken lightly.
So far no-one whether the Federal or State Government had come up with preventive measure to lessen the unexpected. The tidak apa attitude is killing the people.
Flooding is not the only concern that the authorities should be looking at. There is the question of how to survive on limited food. When flood comes, so does drought. Again what measure has the authorities taken to ease this hunger problem.
I propose to certain leaders to start a feed yourself programme but was told off that they already done that. So I checked and checked but did not find one. So I hope that the video will enlighten the leaders further to what I am talking about. I am not talking about project here and there asking for millions. The project I have in mind does not need Government dishing money so that the people receiving the money can misuse it like Shahrizat and her family. I am talking about giving space, tools and seeds to start and getting people to work together on a common issue.
The people who goes around giving ceramahs, making promises, giving money, blaming this and that party should ask themselves what have they done to serve the Rakyat.
Is it too much to ask the Federal and State Government to support and help the Rakyat prepare for what is coming their way from now till 21st December 2012.
