Nazri's son accused of beating up security guard: Another Darren Kang type of cover-up?
It looks like another super UMNO cover-up is on the way and this time it involves the son of Nazri Aziz, the minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
Nazri's son, Mohamad Nedim Mohd Nazri Aziz, allegedly drove up to a condominium in upmarket Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur in his Porsche tailed by his bodyguard in a luxury MPV and got involved in a fight with the building's security supervisor.
This is not the first time a violent encounter involving a son of Nazri's has taken place. In 2004, a 23-year-old law student Darren Kang was beaten to death allegedly by a group of workers at a restaurant in the Desa Sri Hartamas area, which is close by to Mont Kiara, after a spat involving Nazri's son. The workers - 10 Thais and one Malaysian - were arrested. Nazri's son was given the all-clear after questioning by the police.
"At this point in time, to be fair to all parties, there must be a thorough probe. Reports have been lodged with the police by both sides and the information must be made public. There must be no cover up. Whatever happened in the past should never be allowed to happen now - not in 2012," PKR vice president Tian Chua toldMalaysia Chronicle.
"Additionally, there must be explanations on how come Nazri's son has so much money to drive a Porsche and even needs a bodyguard who also drives a luxury MPV. The Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission should get cracking immediately and not pretend to look the other way. This type of case reflects the arrogance of the elite Umno families. Even royalty have no right to bully people, regardless of whether they are Malaysian or foreign workers - professional or just laborers."
Shocking arrogance?
Brickfields district police chief Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid has confirmed receiving 2 police reports on the case. Nazri's son, Mohamad Nedim Mohd Nazri Aziz, had allegedly assaulted a security supervisor at the condominium on Tuesday night.
"The case has been classified under section 160 of the Penal Code committing affray," police chief Wan Abdul Bari was reported as saying. He refused to give further details.
The police reports were lodged by Nedim's bodyguard and the security supervisor, who is in his 50s and had suffered bruises. The supervisor was the first to make the complaint at the Jalan Travers police station, on the same night after undergoing checks at a hospital.
According to news reports, the supervisor had wanted to register Nedim's name before allowing him to pass through in his Porsche, but Nedim did not want to comply. Nedim is recently married. His bodyguard then told the security that he was a 'Tengku' or royalty, but the supervisor still insisted.
Angered, Nedim allegedly alighted, choked the supervisor by his neck and punched his head while the bodyguard held the supervisor. "The supervisor could not fight back as he was being held by the bodyguard," a source from the condominium's management was reported as saying.
It is believed that the condo management is now under severe pressure to cover up the incident.
The bodyguard's side of the story
The other report was lodged by Nedim's bodyguard on his boss's behalf at the same police station. The bodyguard admitted there was a scuffle and accused the supervisor of provoking it with his rude behaviour.
According to the Nedim side of the story, it was the supervisor who punched the bodyguard first and also challenged the latter to a fight. The bodyguard then kicked the supervisor in the stomach while the supervisor punched him in the face.

UMNO elite children are spoil brats.  This rascal has killed before and now again he is up to his nonsense.  It is high time someone teach him a lesson his parents never think of teaching him. And this year he will learn that, trust me.
Father spending too much time with pleasure.
