Dress made of chocolate

French singer Juliette Katz walked down the runway in a dress made of chocolate by Cacao Barry to kick off the 17th Salon du Chocolat in Paris. Each year, fashion designers and chocolatiers from around the world collaborate to dress French models and celebrities for the show dedicated to chocolate.

Artist Willy G. designed the bustier dress for Cacao Barry, the premium chocolate brand from Barry Callebaut. It took 30 hours to make the dress, which was made from 10 kilos (22 lbs.) of dark chocolate coating Origine Saint Domingue Cacao Barry 70 percent cocoa, 10 kilos (22 lbs.) of extra-bitter dark chocolate coating Guayaquil Cacao Barry 64 percent cocoa and 200 vanilla and satin white chocolate macaroons with the model’s initials painted on each piece.

Chocolate and cocoa manufacturer Barry Callebaut is present in 27 countries, operates 40 production facilities and employs about 6,000 people. It serves the entire food industry, focusing on industrial food manufacturers, artisans and professional users of chocolate.
