The National Council for the Blind, Malaysia (NCBM) set up the Braille Press on 1 April 1998 under the Chairmanship of the late Datin Roquaiya Hanim Tun Hussein. It was officially declared open by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak, the then Minister of Education, Malaysia, on 24 November 1998.
Persatuan Orang - Orang Cacat Anggota Malaysia (POCAM) also known as the society of the Orthopaedically Handicapped, Malaysia, was formed in 1976 by the disabled themselves. It is dedicated to promoting the interests and general well-being of its members and other disabled people in Malaysia. It currently has over one thousand members across the country.
The management of POCAM is under the control of elected members and they are assisted by voluntary helpers and four full-time employees. POCAM complies strictly with the requirements of the Registrar of Societies, and its accounts are audited regularly by a public accounting firm.
National Council for the Blind, Malaysia collect fee from its members.
It gets funding from the government.
It gets donation and sponsors from the public.
The committee are never elected freely especially the Secretary.
MY QUESTION TO THE PUBLIC, MACC, ROS AND PDRM.
NATIONAL COUNCIL USES THE AUDITED ACCOUNTS OF POCAM TO SUBMIT TO ROS. WHY? WHAT ABOUT THEIR OWN ACCOUNTS????????? RED FLAG
FUNDS COLLECTED BY NATIONAL COUNCIL IS NEVER REVEALED FOR DONKEY YEARS TO THE PUBLIC EXCEPT AMONG THEMSELVES. RED FLAG
EVERYTIME MEMBERS OR PUBLIC QUESTION THIS, MR WONG WOULD SIMPLY SAY GO ASK MINISTRY. WHY MINISTRY??? RED FLAG
IDEAS AND PROPOSAL GIVEN BY PUBLIC IS NEVER REVEAL TO ITS MEMBERS OR PUBLIC IN DRAFT FORM.
EVERYTHING IS SECRET INSIDE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND. RED FLAG.
MANY MOONS AGO, I WAS ASKED BY SEVERAL BLIND MEMBERS WHO DID NOT RECEIVE HELP FROM NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND FOR EXAMPLE AFRED HO. I WAS TOLD OFF TO MIND MY BUSINESS.
WHY DO THE COMMITTEE HOLD ON TO THEIR POST FOR LIFE?
NOW THEY ARE COMING OUT WITH TRAINING ONLY 20 YOUTH BELOW 35 YEARS OLD TO BE NEXT LEADERS. MEANING THE OLD FARTS INSIDE THE NATIONAL COUNCIL CAN REMAIN ANOTHER 5 TO 10 YEARS BEFORE THE SO CALLED YOUTH TAKE OVER. MEANWHILE WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FUNDS COLLECTED FROM GOVERNMENT, PUBLIC AND OVERSEAS?????
WHY IS MR WONG WORKING CLOSELY WITH THE SECRETARY FOR POCAM ON THE USAGE OF ITS LATTER ACCOUNTS WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND?
THERE ARE MANY RED FLAGS INVOLVING NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND AND THE SECRETARY FOR POCAM.
WILL MACC, ROS AND PDRM INVESTIGATE OR WILL THEY COVER BOTH EYES AND EARS AS USUAL.
