Following their arrests, the group appeared on Iranian state-run TV on Tuesday, admitting that what they did was wrong and said the video was not meant to be posted online. "They had promised us not to publish the video," one of the young women arrested said on the show.
Fans have flocked to social media to express their reactions to the arrests and have begun to use the #FreeHappyIranians hashtag. "It is beyond sad that these kids were arrested for trying to spread happiness," Williams said on his Facebook page along with a link about the incident.
Journalist Golnaz Esfandiari wrote on his Twitter account "Iran is a country where being "happy" is a crime."
My comments : This is another country that will break down and not go anywhere. Its not if but when.
