It is sad that Mohamad Hamzah passed away with a broken heart that his design for the Jalur Gemilang was never appreciated by the Government of the day though it has been in used for 55 years.
Was there anything written in the school History Books today about the role Mohamad Hamzah played in our History. According to students I questioned they have no idea who designed the Jalur Gemilang since it is not important enough to come out in the test.
Very, very sad indeed for all Malaysians and yet we get barking dogs asking the Rakyat to respect the flag when they themselves have no idea who designed the Jalur Gemilang.
