Justo leaves Malaysia, back in SwitzerlandMalaysiakini

Swiss national Xavier Andre Justo has left Malaysia in the interest of the safety of his family following the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan government.
In his Facebook posting today, Justo said that he and his family have arrived in their hometown Switzerland.
"To all our Malaysian friends. With a great sadness and with our hearts broken we had to leave your beautiful country.
"We as a family have suffered a lot and I couldn't take the risk of making the people I love the most suffer again in case things went wrong.
"We are now back and safe in Switzerland but our hearts and souls are with all of you," he said.
Justo expressed hope that Malaysia will one day have a "democratic government duly elected."
"This is not the end. The end will be the day we will surrender and forget our principles, but this will never happen.
"We have to give our children a world where legality and morality are the rules, if not there is no point in teaching them to be good humans with values.
"We are fully convinced that Malaysia will wake up soon with a democratic government duly elected."
Justo was jailed in Thailand in 2015 for allegedly blackmailing his former employer Petrosaudi to release incriminating data.
He later leaked the data to "Sarawak Report" and The Edge Media Group, prompting investigations by various countries into the multi-billion ringgit 1MDB sovereign wealth fund.
He was released from prison in 2016 after granted a royal pardon in conjunction with late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 70 years on the throne.
