Urgent Action: LET US STAND UP FOR OUR SISTER AT CIMB BANDAR BARU NILAI
J Solomon

Sis Norlaily Mat Loddin works at CIMB Bandar Baru
Nilai. She is four (4) months pregnant. She is vulnerable to the usual pregnancy symptoms that affects women such as biological changes, morning sickness, frequent head ache and fatigue.

On 20 November 2012, at 9.20 a.m., Norlaily was instructed by Savings Account Officer, Halimah to perform a withdrawal transaction from the “staff fund”. One (1) of the signatures on the withdrawal slip was different. The right person to sign was Assistant Customer Service Manager, En. Helmi instead Branch Manager, En. Amiruddin Hanuddin signed it.

Sis Norlaily informed Halimah that the withdrawal slip must be signed by the right person.

Halimah informed Amiruddin but he insisted that Norlaily proceed with the transaction. Norlaily stood firm with her decision and repeatedly advised that the transaction would be unlawful if the withdrawal slip was not correctly authorized by the right person.

Amiruddin called Sis Norlaily to his table, there he shouted at her, scolded her and further threatened her by saying “apa susah sangat? Sekarang aku suruh kau buat, buat je lah! Kalau tak, aku report orang atas, kau tak buat kerja!”.

Sis Norlaily who harassed and intimidated in the presence of all the customers and her colleagues felt insulted, embarrassed and scared, all at the same time. She broke down and due to the tremendous pressure fainted then and there. She was carried by a few of her colleagues and taken to the clinic by her Officer.

When she regained consciences she was at the Emergency Unit at Klinik Kesihatan Nilai under treatment. The medical report states she was under “heavy stress in work place”. A police report was lodged.

A very dissatisfied Norlaily invoked a Grievance on 28 November 2012 but Amiruddin blatantly refused to sign the Grievance. Only after a police report was lodged against him did Amiruddin signed the Grievance.

This is the type of injustice advocated by CIMB Bank and CEO, Dato' Sri Mohd Nazir Tun Abdul Razak.

None of our Sisters deserve to be treated in this horrific.

Come all; let us together picket CIMB Bank on 15 December 2012 by a Bank led by our Prime Minister’s brother. By this picket, we must send a strong signal to Nazir Razak and to our Prime Minister.

Bertindak Segera: BANGKIT UNTUK AHLI DI CIMB BANDAR BARU NILAI

Hanya selepas laporan polis dibuat, barulah Amiruddin mahu menandatanganinya.
