My experience with my daughter
One can be a parent but knowing your kid capability is something else.
My children does not go for tuition.
Instead they go swimming, taekwondo, japanese classes and join many events in town. The last two were privilege enough to finish grade 8 in music.
I teach my own kids all their school subjects.
So when I entered my eldest daughter who was six years old then to Standard 1, I knew she has no problem in coping up with lessons thus competing with her brother who was 7 years old was fun. Everyone thought they were twin.
No one raise eye brow then.
Today she holds Phd in Forensic.
What I am trying to say here is that if you do not teach your own kids, expose them to life beyond home and give them opportunity to learn sports and other activities, then don't send them to school at 6 years old.
When a kid is spoil at home, does nothing but laze around or play with themselves (you know what I mean) or is engross in handphones or computer, then don't even think about sending them to school early.
Not all children are able to cope with our messy education system. The teachers are in a mess and not dedicated.
So if at home it is a mess, going to school is another mess then your kid will end up either as gangster or drug addicts or useless corrupted politicians.
Everyday school children from Sekolah Lokman and Taman Maluri passes by my house and I see their behaviour leaving me wondering how they can even help in the economy in the future or have a decent family.
I am not against 6 years old going to standard 1 but do research and study before implementing especially when it comes to the Malays who have no time nor think education is important. To the Malays it is good news because then they can boast their children are smart. And some Malays will dump the children in school like asking God to take care of them early without paying.
Anwar and Fadhlina are not thinkers, they just implement to look good so that they can win in GE16.
