In the hands of the failure
I went to 3 different schools and those were the most memorable time which is never heard of or seen today.
The first day at school, I was called by my name unlike today where a Racist and unprofessional teacher would begin calling each and everyone si gemuk, budak Indian, budak cina, budak nakal etc.
If one were to forget to bring a book or not do homework, punishment would be to pull our own ears or stand at a corner or write 50 to 100 lines.
We had the flying duster when one is talking or sleeping while a teacher is teaching.
We had the cane if we fight, steal or lied.
During recess a few teachers would be around to monitor us.
The teachers would even share the same toilet as the students to ensure cleaniness and mischievous children.
We had singing, netballs, hockey, art in the art class, science in the lab and domestic science in a kitchen.
I learnt folk dancing and sewing too.
Religion classes were unheard of.
But we had moral or scripture class once a week which everyone had to partake whether you are Christian, Buddhist, Hindu or Muslim.
No parents every complaint.
Then later I was sent to stay in a hostel for slightly more than a year, which was my prison.
There were about 80 girls from different culture, religion and ages.
Everything has a fixed time.
Every morning I had to be up by 6.30am.
After washing up, we were assign to different duties.
I love cleaning the drains because it was never smelly or filthy like the toilets.
After our chore we had breakfast which was bread, oats and eggs.
Then our classes begin at 8.30am
Everyone take turn to cook lunch and dinner. So those cooking for the day would leave class at 11.30am for the kitchen.
Our free time is between 5.30pm to 7pm where we can wash our clothes or watch TV.
Dinner is at 7.15pm.
By 9.30pm everyone would be up in the dormitory and the gate would be lock.
The warden would come in between 10pm to 11pm and sleep in a room specially for her in our dormitory.
So if there is any bully or argument or noise after 10pm, she would cough or make a sound from her room.
On her second cough or sound from her, she would come out immediately to check with a stern look.
The warden would check our made beds and toilets before she unlock the gate for us in the morning.
During the day the warden would check the dormitory and toilets thrice.
My point here is we had trained teachers.
Before becoming a teacher, individuals complete a degree program that includes education theory, teaching methods, and a teaching practicum or internship. They learn to plan and deliver well-structured lessons, adapt their teaching to different student needs, and use assessment tools effectively. Training also covers subject matter knowledge, curriculum design, and developmental psychology, along with developing essential skills like communication, organization, and patience.
Sad to say, today teachers are express trained by connection, money and title.
In Sri Kuala Lumpur, the teachers are employed immediately finishing Form Five or Form Six.
In Government schools, teachers are trained by people who have no experience in teaching, teachers are taken in by connections or whose spouse is with a title.
In Religious schools we have teachers who graduated from pondok schools and are into sex all the time.
So whose fault is it that schools are no longer safe or a place for learning values and develop the minds of the young?
Corruption, tidak apa attitude and the sick mentality of the politicians.
Today Malaysia is run by incompetence fools.
The PM is into boys and men.
The PM is into corruption.
The PM is into religion.
The PM is into covering up students murder.
The PM is into supporting terrorists.
When the leader is useless, the whole cabinet whom he chooses are also like him.
Malaysia need a firm leader who knows what he is doing.
I have a simple solution to our Education system.
Kick out everyone and let independent body take over.
We have too many Napoleons who think they are smarter than the professionals.
PM is arrogant.
Speaker is arrogant.
MBs are arrogant.
Ministers are arrogant.
THE FUTURE OF MALAYSIA LIES IN THE HANDS OF THE CHILDREN OF POLITICIANS WHO HAVE FAILED US REPEATEDLY.
