Anwar has become a superhero

The Razak family will be curse for the next three generation.  Just wait and see.

Thanks to the ambitious hearts of the elite UMNO club members, Anwar has become a Malaysian Superhero in the eyes of  the world today.
Anwar made the biggest mistake by listening to Azmin, Rafizi and the Chinese Gangster.
The MB seat was never meant to be his.
Had Anwar stood and won Kajang, he would have been killed in office as MB.
So in a way this is better than being a martyr for the sake of the family.
What now for PKR?
It does not matter who wins in Kajang now because the path has been cleared for Azmin to be the President of PKR and MB of Selangor.
So who said Azmin never announce his desire to be MB of Selangor?
PKR members know.  UMNO Selangor members know. Mahathir Kutty knows. Sultan of Selangor knows.
Only fools don't know.
The next wave will be FROG JUMPING.

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal today sentenced opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to five years jail for sodomising former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan six years ago.

The three-man bench, headed by Datuk Balia Yusof Wahi, delivered the unanimous decision after finding Anwar guilty of the offence late afternoon today.

‎Balia, speaking on behalf of the whole panel, ruled that the trial judge failed to judicially appreciate the evidence and give proper weight to prosecution witness testimonies.

"PW25(Prosecution Witness 25 investigating Officer Supt Jude Blacious Pereira) had merely cut open P27(the plastic) to remove the receptacles(containing the semen samples) to be put into separate envelopes.

"It is beyond dispute the tampering is only to the plastic and this is supported by PW25.

The receptacles were intact. If they had been tampering, the (semen)samples were undisturbed," Balia said.

Balia said the court is of the view that the trial judge had erred in giving weight to DW2(Defence Witness 2) and DW4 that seemed to be armchair experts.

"We allow the appeal and set aside the High Court judgement," Balia said before ruling that Anwar is found guilty of the offence.

As voices began rising in the public gallery, Anwar's counsel Karpal Singh told the court that the appeal process seemed to have been rushed.

"We need a week or so(to prepare mitigation for a lenient sentence). Every opportunity should be given to my client," Karpal said in applying for a week's time to prepare mitigation.

Deputy public prosecutor Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah told the court the prosecution opposes the respondent Anwar's application because the appeal had been delayed since July.

"We have been waiting for so long. I submit we should hear submission for mitigation today," Shafee said.

Shafee said that despite the conviction and sentencing, Anwar will surely file an appeal.

"It is the respondent's own fault that we are put in the position today," Shafee said.

Karpal then said Shafee speaks with a forked tongue and said mitigation is an integral part of trial.

Shafee then cut off Karpal by shouting,"I have understanding..."

Balia then sternly ordered all parties to behave.

"I have stated all along for parties to behave," Balia rebuked the parties involved.

Shafee then reminded the court that all parties had been given adequate time and that he himself had been at court at 9am on every proceeding‎.

"I am sure Yang Arif(Your Honour) knows this," Shafee said.

Balia then told Anwar that the court will give him one hour to prepare mitigation.

After the sentence was handed out, Anwar stood up and told the panel that what had transpired was a travesty of justice.

"I would have expected you to have the courage to respect the law," he said before sitting down amidst shouts from his supporters in court.

Karpal then applied for a stay of execution pending appeal.

Shafee objected, saying that granting Anwar stay would lead to a breach of the peace and disrupt public order.

"Yang Arif(Your Honour) can hear enough the way they(Anwar supporters) behave in court," he said, adding that noises were coming in also from outside court.

When Karpal tried to interject, Balia told him to behave himself.

"Please refrain from using these words(of insinuations). Please have some mutual respect," Balia told Karpal.

The bench, also comprising of ‎Datuk Aziah Ali and Datuk Mohd Malawi Salleh, then allowed Anwar's application for stay pending appeal.

The panel ordered Anwar to post RM10,000 bail by 11am on Monday next week.

When met after proceedings today, lawyer Latheefa Koya said Anwar's chances of participating in the Kajang state constituency by-election is "out".

"Once convicted, he is disqualified," Latheefa told reporters.

On rumours that Pandan Member of Parliament(MP) Rafizi Ramli will now contest the Kajang‎ seat, she said the opposition will only think about it later due to today's verdict.

Anwar, accompanied by wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, said he was not surprised by the verdict.

"We(the opposition) will consolidate further," he said.

Wan Azizah, while walking out of court with Anwar, said "This is balance of juctice but there is no justice."

Outside the Palace of Justice, shouts and roars from gatherings of Anwar supporters could be heard from inside the building.‎

Shafee Abdullah was assisted by deputy public prosecutors Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Zakaria and Noorin Badaruddin.

Counsel Ram Karpal Singh, Sangeet Kaur Deo and Jeremy Vinesh Anthony‎ acted for respondent Anwar.

Among opposition personalities seen at court today are DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang and Batu MP Tian Chua.

On Aug 7, 2008 at the Sessions Court, Anwar, 67, claimed trial to sodomising Saiful, 29, at Unit 11-5-1, Desa Damansara condominium, No. 99, Jalan Setiakasih, Bukit Damansara, between 3.01pm and 4.30pm on June 26 the same year.

The offence is punishable with imprisonment up to 20 years and whipping under Section 377B of the Penal Code.

The High Court ordered Anwar to enter his defence on May 16, 2011.‎ He was later acquitted and discharged on Jan 9, 2012.

The prosecution filed an appeal against the verdict on Jan 20, 2012.
