Same number on different car

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING NEW.
THERE IS A DATUK FROM MELAKA WHO LIVES CLOSE BY, USING SAME NUMBER PLATE FOR 3 CARS.
WHEN ONE GOT MONEY AND TITLE, ONE LIVES IN THE UNTOUCHABLE WORLD.

"Same number on different car"

Hello Dian,

To answer your question -

Officially not possible to have 2 cars with the same Reg No Plates...

Unless done not through pproper means....

Wah, boleh save manyak $$$ lo...

kereta hutang, Reg kereta satu kali, Insurance satu kali, Road Tax satu kali...

Suppose it is involved in an accident involving injuries/death to 3 parties...?

I have retained a couple of my "Personal" car's Reg No plates since 1979 & another since 1997, onto my "New" cars every time costing me a few hundred to a couple of thousand for my latest car to "retain" the old personal Reg No, on top of the cost of the "New" vehicle - It is a lengthy & costly process.

The new No will be swapped to the old car and vise versa.

Only through the process to transfer a registration number from a registered vehicle (old) to "a vehicle that has not been registered (new)" and providing a new registration number for the vehicle.

Just to share this...?

It is from the JPJ link...
