Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has advised the public to shop wisely instead of complaining about price hikes after buying a whole chicken for RM1.
The premier said that Malaysians should not complain about "barang naik" because bargains can still be found.
"I've bought one, so there's 999 left," he said with a grin, adding that this special price for chicken applied only to 1,000 customers at NSK Trade City, Jalan Kuchai Lama today.
He said this during his speech at the Fair Price Award ceremony held at the hypermarket.
