Sure to win Lawyer

                                                                                Melbourne nurse Emma L'aguille.
AN AUSTRALIAN nurse living in Kuala Lumpur will today be formally charged with a Malaysian offence that attracts the death penalty, after she was found in the driver’s seat of a car where close to a kilogram of methamphetamine was allegedly hidden.
The 34-year-old nurse from Melbourne, Emma Louise L'aiguille, had been working as a nurse in Kuala Lumpur until her arrest on July 17.
She had been sitting in a parked car on a main road in downtown Kuala Lumpur with an unidentified Nigerian man when officers from the Royal Malaysia Police’s narcotics unit arrested them.
A subsequent search of the car revealed what Malaysian police allege is about a kilogram of methamphetamine stashed under one of the car’s seats.
Ms L'aiguille, who is expected to be formally charged at a court hearing this morning, is the second Australian this year to possibly face the death penalty after being accused of drug trafficking.
Perth man Dominic Jude Christopher Bird, 32, was arrested on March 1 in a sting operation by police at a Kuala Lumpur coffee shop. Police say he was trying to sell them 167grams of methamphetamine.
"Australian consular officials are providing consular assistance to the woman and her family,’" a spokesperson for the Australian High Commission in Malaysia said.
It is expected Ms L'aiguille will be charged with drug trafficking under the Dangerous Drugs Act, which attracts the death penalty.
She is also expected to be charged with another offence under that act relating to "self-administration" of a dangerous drug. That offence attracts a fine of up to 5000 Malaysian ringgit ($A1516) and two years in jail.
Anyone convicted of carrying more than 50 grams of illicit drugs faces a mandatory death penalty in Malaysia.
She will be represented by lawyers Muhammad Shafee and Tanya Scivetti during today’s hearing.

For the past twelve years I have come to know lawyers who are SURE TO WIN CASES.  These kind of lawyers are not cheap.  They need not know the law, all they have to do is make a call direct to AG and every damn thing can be settle.  Don't believe?  Check how many cases Shafee has won in court compare to Karpal Singh loses in court. Need further proof, well there is an open secret that AG holds a 555 book everywhere he goes and Shafee name is inside with well over RM6 million IOU.
This can all be reveal after the 13th General Election.

WWW1 got crashed

This is what I call good news.
God is giving a little hint.  Next round a bigger crash on the shore of Johore.

Beware of this con man

Robbery/theft at a hand phone shop located at Digital Mall Petaling Jaya Section 14. I was at my counter when an elderly Chinese man walked up to me to inquire about the best price for two units of Samsung Galaxy 3. After a little bargain we agreed on the price, just then my colleagues came back, I told my colleague to keep an eye on him, and then I went to the supplier to find the stock for him. When I returned he told me that he wanted to mail them to his two twin children that lived in Penang, so we said no problem uncle, we will help you, he then took out two envelops, two black colored zip bags, two birthday cards and put them on the table. I wanted to put the whole box in the envelope but the trickster told me to just put the phone and accessories into the bags as supposedly he was going to mail them to via courier. So we helped him to open up the boxes, wrap the phones in wrapping paper and placed them into the black colored zip bags. At the time my regular customer came by and sat on the left hand side of the counter, so there were in total 3 staff and one customer that were there at the time. He then asked us to help him fill out the birthday card and write the addresses of his so called children on the envelopes. He then pulled out two red colored angpows and put RM400 in each of the zip bags along with the handsets and accessories. once we finished helping him write the addresses and names on the birthday cards, we then put the entire black zip bags into the envelops and sealed them. Then I asked him about the payment? He then asked me where the nearest ATM machine was. I then pointed to the RHB ATM machine at the same floor at the corner of the mall. So he went to the ATM and we noticed that he made a phone call in front of the ATM, then awhile later he was gone. At the time we were not worried because we taught that the phones along with RM800 of angpow was in our hands. So we thought that maybe he went to another ATM, the incident occurred at around 1.47pm to 2.10pm on the 27th July 29, 2012. At 5 o’clock I left to fetch my wife to the hospital for a checkup. On the way home my colleague called at 6plus pm and said that he felt that there was something wrong so he opened the envelopes and found stones tiles inside, the 2 units of Galaxy S 3 along with the RM800 of angpow was gone! I called my Boss and informed her about this and requested a copy of the CCTV recording of the robbery. She said that she will pass it to me tomorrow (28th) and asked me to make a police report. The next day I took all the evidence along with the CCTV recording and headed to the nearest police station and as I was typing the report, I was accused of abiding in the crime; the officer said that I would have to be detained for investigation! I was so freaking scared and worried at the time because my wife was pregnant and I am the only one that was here for. I then pleaded to the officer not to detain me and that I would fully cooperate in the investigation. After some time he told me to finish my report and come back at 8.30pm, so I finished my report and called my Boss to come to the police station to fetch me. I was very afraid and worried I would be detained and could not stop thinking of what would happen to my pregnant wife if I was to be detained. I then went to the police station with the evidence and CCTV recording. After I showed the evidence and explained the whole matter to the officer he said that lucky you have the CCTV recording, if not we would have to detain you. Because of this I could not sleep for two nights and being a Muslim, instead of buka Puasa at 7.30 yesterday I puasa until now. I just feel very bad, as a citizen and as a human being. I hope my story will prevent this kind crime from reoccurring and I swear the next time I am a victim of crime, I will never ever go make a police report. I told my wife that in Malaysia it was not safe to go out, stay at home, not safe to go or work in shopping complexes, and in my case not even safe to lodge reports. I told her that Insyaallah when my Son is born? And if by then things don’t change? We are going to migrate to Indonesia! I will not let my Son grow up in such a Country! If any of you working in shopping malls please be more careful and for your own safety make sure you have sufficient evidence before lodging a report.

Water Power for the future

Members of Pakistani parliament, scientists, and students alike watched in awe as Waqar Ahmad, a Pakistani engineer, successfully demonstrated a working water powered car in Islamabad. With just one liter of water, Ahmad claims a 1000 cc car could cover a distance of 40 km, or a motorbike could travel 150 km.

Ahmad's 'Water Fuel Kit Project' utilizes a hydrogen bonding technique with distilled water, creating hydrogen to power the vehicle. If realized on a massive scale, Ahmad's invention could seriously challenge the current energy paradigm, and could usher in a new way of thinking about energy in general.

First reported today by the Times of India, the promising exhibition took place on Thursday, as a Pakistani cabinet subcommittee member praised the technology. A stunned audience sat in astonishment when Religious Affairs minister, Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, proclaimed Ahmad's water car was "this years' Independence Day gift to the nation."

This is not the first time a water powered car has been proven to work. Nearly a year ago, on July 31st, 2011, Presscore.ca broke a story on Genepax, a Japanese company that unveiled a car that can run on river, rain or sea water, and even Japanese tea. A subsequent article goes on to state, "The key to the Genepax system is its membrane electrode assembly (or MEA), which contains a material that’s capable of breaking down water into hydrogen and oxygen."

AG Gani openly abuse his position to cover his wrongdoing

I had heard that the settlement would result in all the criminal appeals filed by A-G Gani Patail to be withdrawn and Dato Ramli would be reinstated with full rank and honors and some payments. I told him that if the rumours were true, then I am very happy for Dato Ramli and for him that their ordeals have finally come to an end. That would be a victory of sorts without having to be fought out in court and incurring huge legal costs. I knew that it would cost Rosli a bomb in legal costs for his criminal trial.

I was totally unprepared for Rosli’s response. He gave me a long severe unflinching look. Then he said –“Din, you are talking to the wrong man. If you want to say all that, if you want to go congratulate someone, then go shake Dato Ramli’s hand, not mine !”

It was a very sharp rebuke that stunned me. Immediately, Rosli got up. I saw him walking to the musolla. I wasn’t sure what I did wrong. I wasn’t sure if I had offended him. I finished my buka food and went to the musolla where I saw that Rosli was just about to finish his prayers in one dark quiet corner. I performed my maghrib prayers and saw that Rosli was still holding up his cupped hands making the doa and looking upwards as if he was conversing with God.

I thought I heard a muted sob. I waited, and it was a long wait. Rosli sat there fixated, oblivious to the comings and goings of other people who took turns to pray in that musolla. He seemed to be lost in a very long doa as if a tormented soul was seeking solace from the Almighty. I waited still.

Finally, he finished. He turned and looked at me to make salam and I saw his glistening eyes. I shook his hands and hugged him. He relented and let me hug him for a few seconds that felt like several hours when two men embrace in genuine friendship and camaraderie. I asked Rosli – “What is wrong my young friend? Are you ok? ” He gave me his familiar dimpled smile and the determined glint came back to his eyes. He said “Let’s makan”.

While at the dining table to continue our buka puasa, I asked Rosli again if the settlement talk is true. He asked me to call Dato Ramli to get the real answer. By then, other friends had joined our table and everyone expressed their happiness that this whole episode is over for him and they jested that he can now go back to his first love– horseback riding!

But I could see that Rosli was hiding something from everyone by the way he answered questions disjointedly in between his laughter and eating. Clearly, he was trying to avoid any probing by talking light things and jesting all the time. When the crowd at our table receded, I decided to get serious.

I told Rosli that having supported him throughout his trial I deserve to know how matters would conclude, not because I am a busybody but because I consider his case of some importance since it is about the abuses in government. I reminded him that on the day of his acquittal, he had made some sort of a pledge to prevent these abuses and to expose the rogues in government.

MACC offered a Bargain on behalf to the A-G

My remarks seemed to strike a chord with Rosli. He looked at me and apologised for his earlier conduct. He said that he is very grateful for all my support. He then told me that some months back, he had been approached by Dato Razak Musa, the MACC Director of Prosecution, as a messenger of A-G Gani Patail. Dato Razak said that if Rosli were to withdraw his civil suits, A-G Gani Patail would allow the MACC to withdraw the criminal appeal that is pending against him.

I was stunned to hear that bargain was offered by the MACC. That smacks of “prosecutorial misconduct” a term used by one commentator on my blog, Mr Bean, in describing the prosecution actions against Rosli. This is a real abuse of power. This is a blatant bully tactic.

Furthermore, it is totally wrong to commence or pursue prosecution against an innocent person just to strike fear in him or to make a bargain to cover up for an earlier wrongdoing. This is total dishonor to the Office of the A-G.

This is not what Article 145(3) of the Federal Constitution intended when it confers discretionary powers upon the AG to commence and discontinue criminal prosecution against anyone in Malaysia. It is this arrogant abuse of power by the AG that results in selective prosecution in Malaysia.

I asked Rosli if that’s what is troubling him and what is happening to his cases. Rosli said that all the civil cases are coming up for hearing very soon and he is not too hopeful. He said that in one case, the matter came up in the court of appeal several times and it gets postponed every time because one judge or another would seek recusal.

No Deal, says Rosli

Rosli then said something under his breath that I thought sounded like “I might as well be judged by all my enemies”. I did not ask for clarification as he sounded sad enough already.

Rosli said that Ramadan had become so painful for him because he was abused, humiliated, arrested, detained and charged by the MACC in Ramadan 2007. He said that he couldn’t possibly accept the bargain offered by Dato Razak Musa as that would mean losing his dignity and self value. Rosli then wryly said that it’s not just a cruel irony that the MACC’s appeal against his acquittal will be coming up next week on August 2 during Ramadan, but that it was orchestrated to remind him of the things that those in power can do to inflict pain and suffering.

After saying all these, Rosli must have suddenly realised that he had said too much and then requested “Din, please don’t write any of these. It’s personal between us ok?” I did not reply.

To Rosli, I have to say sorry but I can’t keep what he had told me as a private matter.

It is not a private matter when there is prosecutorial misconduct by A-G Gani Patail and Razak Musa in abusing their powers to pursue the appeal against his acquittal only because they could not get Rosli to withdraw his civil suits.

**************************************************
This piece was taken from Din Merican.
Like the chimp raping the frog, the man with a tail in his name is over confident he can continue to abuse his position against Rosli.  Please share this injustice with everyone you meet, so that we can collectively seek justice and revenge against the man with the tail in his name be charge in the very court he has corrupted and destroyed.

Vote Wisely

CFM LETTER TO THE MALAYSIAN CHURCHES & CHRISTIANS ON THE FORTHCOMING 13thGENERAL ELECTIONS

VOTE WISELY, VOTE FOR A BETTER MALAYSIA

In the first two chapters of Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament, we read of two separate accounts of God giving to Adam rule and authority over the earth and all that live in it. In the first book of the New Testament, the Gospel according to St. Matthew, chapter 5 and verses 13 to 15, Christians are told that they are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
These two passages and the collective message of our Holy Scripture point to the inescapable conclusion that Christians have a duty to protect and safeguard the earth, and all that live in it. Christians have not only been granted rights of leadership, but also the responsibility of stewardship.
In the context of the nation state, Christians, like other citizens, have been granted certain rights, including the right to participate in the democratic process of a country. This right to participate must be balanced with the responsibility of exercising that right, and doing so wisely.
The Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) therefore invites and encourages all Christians to be conscious of their political rights - to vote, and to use the power of the vote to elect a government that will ensure justice with equity and the well-being of our nation. The CFM is not politically motivated nor is it endorsing any one political party.
It is of fundamental importance in a democracy, that citizens actually exercise their right to vote. Having the right to vote without utilising it is of little use.
Voting ensures that every Malaysian citizen participates in bringing about a more just and equitable Malaysia for succeeding generations to come.
Therefore, it is important that as Christians, we undertake our duty as citizens and exercise our right to vote and express our preference for a political coalition that will best achieve our vision of a better Malaysia.
In terms of our vision for a better Malaysia, CFM encourages Malaysian Christians to think about the following priorities:
  • A nation guided by the ethics of respect for human dignity. This means a nation where its citizens are engaged fairly as equals, and their rights respected in accordance with the provisions as guaranteed under the Federal Constitution. Such a nation treats its citizens with understanding, honesty and mutual respect.
  • A nation where extremism of all kinds is rejected and quickly curtailed. Racial and religious bigotry, manipulation and lies that have now come to define the social sphere, the print media and political posturing must end immediately.
  • A nation free of corruption, putting in place strengthened state and public institutions whose members conduct themselves with integrity, transparency and accountability.
  • A nation that works towards the fair and equitable distribution of wealth and ensuring well-being for all, regardless of citizenship status, ethnicity or creed. Every citizen and every community should be empowered and enabled to pursue economic activity and achieve advancement duly and fairly supported by the government where needed and necessary without favour or discrimination and without being overly or unfairly supported by the state.
  • A nation where care for the environment is privileged over self-seeking capitalism and where its political leaders weigh all decisions with ecological interest and sustainability as an essential aspect of development.
  • A nation where language and education are de-linked from political expedience.
  • A nation where elitism and inequality is not rampant and people are recognised and respected as human beings and not discriminated against due to social position, educational attainment, political beliefs, gender, race or religion.
  • A nation where religious freedom to profess, practice and propagate one's religion is allowed to flourish without undue curtailment from the law, restrictions or even prohibition.

The CFM encourages Christians to pray that good leaders will emerge from the 13th general elections who will not only fulfil the above criteria, but who have the interest of our beloved nation and its people as their first and only priority.
Malaysians today are better educated, politically and socially more aware, and geographically more mobile than at any time in our history, and these have led to a citizenry that is more knowledgeable and experienced.
Churches have a responsibility to help guide their congregations to use their wisdom in the exercise of their right to vote in order to bring about a nation where all Malaysians, and those who choose to make their living in this country, can live in harmony and prosperity, peace and justice.
May the grace and the peace of God be with you.

Azran forgot to use his God-gift brain

Australia needs to rethink its sales pitch to Asian tourists who believe a holiday here is too expensive because of the way the country is marketed in Asia, the head of Malaysia's budget airline, AirAsia X, says.
A good brand campaign simply isn't enough. You get awareness ... but there is a lack of conversion to actually get people to want to come
Giving an outsider's perspective of Australia's latest ad campaign, Azran Osman-Rani said Australia's tourism industry needed to be more tactical in convincing Asians to travel here for holidays, rather than relying on a "very strong brand campaign that might seem out of reach for a lot of people".
Azran Osman-Rani ... sayd the Tourism Australia campaign aims too high.
Azran Osman-Rani ... said the Tourism Australia campaign aims too high.
Tourism Australia last month launched a $180 million global advertising campaign overseas for the first time, choosing Shanghai as the stage for it in an effort to tap into China's emerging middle class.
But Mr Osman-Rani said the visuals in the campaign "There's Nothing Like Australia" seemed to focus on a "very, very high niche", which appeared to put it out of reach of a potential Asian tourist.
"They will think, 'That is just not me – that is beyond me,'" he said at an aviation conference in Sydney today. "A good brand campaign simply isn't enough. You get awareness ... but there is a lack of conversion to actually get people to want to come."
Mr Osman-Rani, a former cable television executive in Malaysia, said the tourism campaign would make many "Australians very, very proud to see Australia being showcased" but "it is going to be a tough sell" to convince Asian tourists to travel here.
He believed the Australian tourism industry should focus on "more basic stuff" such as the top 10 things to do in Sydney or Melbourne, or emphasising the friendliness of the locals or the closer proximity of Australia to Asia than a European destination.
"Australia has got a lot going for it but it often doesn't get communicated clearly," he said. "The reality is today that competition for tourists is a lot more intense."
AirAsia X plans to double flights to Australia within the next two years as it boosts its fleet of twin-aisle A330s from 11 to 25. In April, the airline launched daily flights between Sydney and the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur after years of lobbying regulators for the right to fly here.
The long-haul budget airline, an offshoot of Asia's largest low-cost airline AirAsia, also flies to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Perth, making Australia the source of 30 per cent of its revenue.
Mr Osman-Rani said today that the airline would focus on increasing flight frequencies to Australia before it considered beginning services to a fifth destination here.
Adelaide is considered the most likely to be next destination in Australia for AirAsia X.
Tourism Australia's managing director, Andrew McEvoy, rejected Mr Osman-Rani's views, questioning whether the airline chief had seen the whole campaign.
"For Mr Osman-Rani's to say that our campaign is out of reach of Asian tourists is an interesting assertion, given the record-breaking number of visitors to Australia from the region," he said in a statement. "The new ad is hitting the mark and proving a massive hit in Asia, viewed by 20 million people in China alone since being launched just six weeks ago in Shanghai."
Mr McEvoy said that with the latest phase of the campaign Tourism Australia was "unapologetically putting our best foot forward, and focusing on Australia's unique and most distinctive tourism products and experiences that we know can compete with the finest in the world."
"AirAsia X certainly seems to be doing well off the back of this great image of Australia given their rapid growth and further expansion plans," he said.

Datuk Seri Ng Yen Yen was caught in the defensive trying to explain the spending of 1.8 million Malaysian Ringgit for social media campaign to promote Malaysian tourism.

A whooping 1.8 million dollars spent for six Facebook pages?! Are you kidding me? Remember Facebook pages are free to create! With such a sum, we can buy a mass spectrometer to be placed in a research institute to find the next cure for a disease. It can be used to help the poor and needy.

Opposition politicians joked about her as "Menteri suka melancong" (The Minister who likes to tour) instead of doing her job as "Menteri Pelancongan" (Minister of Tourism).

I don't care if anyone has spent 1.8 million bucks on anything. What makes this 1.8 million bucks to not become a joke is each buck is made up of taxpayer's hard earned money. We have toiled hard, not enjoying the living standard we deserve for the effort we contributed and coping with rising living costs. We have paid our taxes. After knowing that money has been wasted in the hands of the government on trivial matters, of course we are not pleased.

Netizens expressed their discontent by "Liking" the Facebook page of Curi-curi Wang Malaysia.

**************************************************************
Azran Osman-Rani is too arrogant for his own good.  As a Malaysian, he should just look at his own backside how Ng Yen Yen knowingly tried to justified her RM1.8 million claimed as publicity campaign for the country.  The tourist Ng Yen Yen brought in were Murderers, Rapists, Drug Pushers, Human Traffickers, Gangsters and Robbers. Further more who is  Azran to complain about another country spending unless he has an Australian PR.

Like Mr McEvoy said, Air-Asia too profited from the latest Ad Campaign by Australia.

Farid Ismeth Emir innocent

PETALING JAYA: Pembaca berita Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Farid Ismeth Emir menafikan mempunyai sebarang hubungan dengan isteri Perdana Menteri Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
*********************************************************************
I just like to confirm that Farid Ismeth Emir is not the ex-husband of Rosmah.  At all material time, he has never slept with her.  For many years now no-one has come out to right the wrong.  It would be good if the rumour can be stop immediately since I do know Rosmah and her past personally.

Behind the closed doors of welfare homes

Dumped orphan succeeds in life despite crazy odds

By R.S.N. MURALI
murali@thestar.com.my

MALACCA: It was in the month of Ramadan in 1987 that he came into this world – wrapped in a sarong and dumped in a garbage bin.
Growing up was hard and painful for Muhammad Khairul Hafiz Abdullah, and his life once revolved around dump sites and rubbish bins.
Today, he is a successful entrepreneur running his own recycling business.
Recalling his early years, Muhammad Khairul said he was told that someone picked him up from a mound of rubbish in a large bin in Mentakab and sent him to a welfare home in Kuantan.
He was raised at the home for four years until a childless couple adopted him. However, after his foster parents had their own baby boy, they turned against him.
Things got worse and 25 years on, Muhammad Khairul still remembers how he was scalded with hot water and hit with blunt objects.
“The trauma is still there and the injuries and scars remain,” said the once-abused child, who is now a social activist championing the rights of battered children.
The Malaysian Welfare and Social Organisation (Perbak), which he leads, recently made a shocking disclosure that senior officials of a welfare home were sodomising and sexually abusing some 150 boys under their care.
Muhammad Khairul said he fled from his foster parents when he was six and walked 10km to seek protection from the police in Shah Alam.
He was later referred to a welfare home in Cheras, where he stayed until he was 12.
Following his UPSR examination, he was sent to a boys’ home in Durian Daun here.
At 18, Muhammad Khairul started looking for work and found a job that required him to look for recyclable items to sell to scrap dealers. Often, he had to sleep along the five-foot ways of Malacca city.
A year later, he headed for Putrajaya to look for greener pastures and again became involved in the recycling business. He learnt the ropes and within a few years started running his own business.
Along the way, Muhammad Khairul fell in love and married one of his employees in 2009. They now have two children.
“All the suffering and torment I endured during childhood have made me a much more mature man. My business friends tell me I am more like a 50-year-old than a youth in my ways,” he smiled.
To mark the 25th year since he was picked up from the garbage bin, Muhammad Khairul said he would traverse the country during the Ramadan month to have buka puasa sessions with orphans and share his bittersweet life story with them.
*****************************************************************
I have highlighted what Khairul had found at welfare homes.  What goes on behind the close doors of welfare homes private and government is not something new but on going for the past 32 years.
Does anyone even care the slightest to stop the rape on young boys and girls?

Never allow UMNO Government to blackmail us

Selangor may hold a referendum for the public in the state and the Federal Territory to vote on its planned takeover of Syabas.
State Executive Councillor for Health, Plantation Workers, Poverty and Compassionate Government, Dr Xavier Jeyakumar, said the referendum idea would be pursued while awaiting the Attorney General's decision and preparing necessary legal action on the matter.
"We know we are in the right, and we are confident that the people of Selangor have faith in the government they elected," he said today.
He described the decision of the Special Cabinet Committee on the water issue as a "forgone conclusion" as some of its members had openly expressed support for the Langat 2 Plant proposed by Syabas.
He claimed that the committee's decision was to protect Syabas. "The cabinet committee seems to be more interested in Syabas than the fate of 5 million people in Selangor," he said.
Sudden withdrawal of water rationing shows crisis was 'manufactured'
Xavier also highlighted the Special Cabinet Committee's assertion that there is no need for water rationing in the state.
"It showed that Syabas is manufacturing the water crisis. Who is going to take responsibility over this?" he asked.
Meanwhile, the Coalition Against Water Privatisation (CAWP) is calling for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to probe into the tussle over the water concession.
When contacted, its coordinator Charles Santiago said there are more questions than answers coming out of the whole saga.
"Why is there so much of reluctance to open Syabas' books? Why are there contradictory statements being made?" he asked.
"One minute Syabas says that water rationing is necessary and then the Deputy Prime Minister (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) says it is not," he said, alleging that the people were being held "at ransom".
"Syabas has also failed to comply with what is in the water agreement between it and the state and federal governments," he claimed, adding that an inquiry would be the best way to determine all discrepancies and allegations at hand.
"This inquiry should also look into the necessity for the Langat 2 plant," he added.
An Umno tool
Exco for Tourism, Consumer Affairs and the Environment, Elizabeth Wong, called Syabas an Umno tool to pressure Selangor into approving Langat 2.
"The federal government has no plans as to how Langat 2 will solve the water shortage considering the state government has prepared a water mitigation plan worth RM 225 million," said Wong.
She added that there has to be an independent committee to determine which project would solve the treated water problem at the lowest cost.
"The Barisan Nasional federal government should admit its mistake in signing the Water Privatisation Agreement in 2004, a mistake which cannot be corrected until now," she added.
Wong said the Selangor government has the power to take over Syabas under the Water Supply Industry Act 2006, adding the federal government decision to block this showed the BN government favoured corporations over the rakyat.
Exco for Women's Affairs, Science, Innovation and Culture, Rodziah Ismail, insisted that Syabas cannot implement water rationing.
She said the government-linked company had not consulted the state before announcing its rationing plan.
"Syabas should withdraw its wishes and actions of rationing water and raising water prices by almost 40% in Selangor as it does not benefit the people at all," added Rodziah.

As a Selangorian, I believe that UMNO Government has gone too far by pushing for Langat 2.  It is time we take matter into our hands and do the right thing.
It is understandable that UMNO Government is making sure they grab everything before 13th General Election not leaving a single crumb to who ever take over Putrajaya.  But don't use us as bait.
If UMNO Government is not stop today, tomorrow we will share the same fate as those people in the picture.

Underwear to prevent extramarital affairs

By Oh Ro-sy

A man in Gwangju invented underwear two years ago, which is designed to prevent extramarital affairs, according to the Hankook Ilbo newspaper Thursday.

The man, surnamed Jeong, applied for a patent for the briefs with heat-sensitive paint which is colorless but presents color if temperatures change, the report said. To be specific, the color of the briefs changes when temperatures drop to below 31 degrees Celsius.

When people take off the underwear for a while, its color changes because human’s normal body temperature is 36-37 degree Celsius, and never back to the original color. So, the patent applicant claimed that the new briefs can prevent affairs once partners wear it.

It is difficult to prejudge whether the patent can be registered because its content is open to the public.

However, it has some drawbacks in terms of commercialization.

The partner could remove the underwear for a long time in a sauna or a restroom. Even in winter, its color could be altered if people urinate outside. In other words, the relationship of a couple may worsen by misunderstanding when a partner puts on the color-changing underwear.

Can't wait to see how profitable this underwear will be in Malaysia.

Foreigners with Malaysian Passports

                 FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE IN KLIA
Dear M,
I appreciate your effort in disseminating information to your close friends. I would like to provide you with my “first hand” experience at KLIA yesterday.
I returned from Hong Kong on flight MH 073 on 17th July 2012 which landed in KLIA at about 6.15pm. Disembarkation and baggage clearance was prompt with no hassles.
When I arrived at the Immigration “autogate” there was a queue. There was no officer in the immigration booth manning the gates.
I noted about seven Pakistani nationals; all in their national costumes, hogging all the autogates. They were struggling to put their passports in the passport reader and get their fingerprints verified.
The Malaysians in the queue started commenting in loud voices:    - “This lane is for Malaysian Passports only”
    - “Please join the other queue for foreign passports” etc.
Some, thinking that they were foreign workers, got impatient and spoke with raised voices:
    - “ Barisan ini untuk Passport Malaysia”
    - “Tolong pergi ke kaunter international passport” etc.
These gentlemen stood firm; oblivious to the comments, speaking in their native language and giving instructions to each other on how to use the reader. As more Malaysians arrived, the queue got longer.
I broke out of the queue and checked their passports – and they ALL had Malaysian Passports. On enquiring, they responded in broken English that they had just arrived on flight PK 894 from Peshawar. All the Malaysians in the queue were shocked.
Disgusted, I walked to the Priority Counter, (I had a Priority Pass) got clearance and asked the Immigration Officer how these people had obtained their Malaysian passports. He gave me a guilty smile. He also organised for an officer to help clear the line at the “autogate”.
On leaving, I asked the Customs Officer the same question and his response was “Ini Biasa”.
I have heard a lot about foreigners with Malaysian IC’s getting treatment in our Government Hospitals. A discussion with doctors; especially those manning the Emergency Wards, will confirm this fact. However, my experience yesterday confirms that something is drastically wrong in the implementation of policies in our country.
I will leave it to right thinking Malaysians to form an opinion on my experience yesterday.
Regards,

Another missing case

Special Branch should do real investigation instead of making up rumours about PKR.
Everyday children are going missing.
PDRM, Defence, Home Ministry, Immigration must work together to fight human trafficking.
So for God sake stop attacking opposition parties and do real crime busting before it is too late.

Misused of God's gift to think

Who or which party put out the red carpet for the Communist?

MP dares SB to name those who are reds and JI

DAP chairperson Karpal Singh has challenged the police Special Branch to name those who are allegedly communists and Jemaah Islamiah (JI) members said to be infiltrating the opposition parties.

Describing the assertions as wild allegations, Karpal, who is also Bukit Gelugor MP, said that the move was merely trying to undermine Pakatan Rakyat.

“I challenge the Special Branch to name those JI members and communists who are said to have infiltrated Pakatan Rakyat. This is merely an underhand tactic to undermine the opposition coalition,” he said.

NONEKarpal (right) was met after his sedition charge proceedings at the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.

Yesterday, it was reported that police Special Branch investigationshave allegedly concluded that JI terrorists and former communists are infiltrating opposition parties and were trying to be fielded as candidates in the coming general election.

Assistant director of the E2 (M) national social extremist threat division head Mohd Sofian Md Makinuddin, who was speaking at the National Young Leaders Convention in Parliament yesterday, claimed JI elements were trying to infiltrate PAS while the communist elements were trying to infiltrate DAP.

“Several PSM and PKR leaders are frequently visiting Bangkok and southern Thailandfor what is believed to be secret visits with former Communist Party of Malaya leaders.

“The result of this is that ideas related to new politics that can potentially affect the core values of the country are on the rise,” Mohd Sofian was quoted as saying.

First we have Hasan Ali, then Ibrahim Ali and now Special Branch.
It is obvious this Ramadan we will see cock and bull shit flying on Malaysia shore.
