Wednesday, June 29, 2011
Today, Wednesday, 29th of June, from 2pm-6pm, is Bersih’s day of internet activism. Our goal is to exponentially increase visible support for Bersih online, as part of our movement for a free and fair electoral system, and for a better Malaysia for all Malaysians.
We call upon all Malaysians of all backgrounds, regardless of their affiliations, to join us in helping ensure that Malaysia’s citizens will always retain the right to choose their government in a clean, democratic manner.
We hope to use democratic tools on the internet to objectively demonstrate how many Malaysians stand united behind these goals. In the first stage of our campaign, our objectives are to:
1. Reach 50,000 PicBadge Users – http://www.picbadges.com/bersih-2/1743665/
2. Get 50,000 Facebook Likes on our Official Page – http://www.facebook.com/pages/BERSIH-20-OFFICIAL/213938935311531
3. Get 10,000 followers on Twitter – http://twitter.com/bersih2
Also change your profile picture to something yellow.
The only way we will achieve these goals is if as many Malaysians as possible spread the message through their social networks – Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, and so on.
This marks the beginning of a web campaign that will last to the 9th of July and beyond, where every day from 2pm – 3pm, we will call on Malaysians to help spread the message.
On the 29th of June from 2pm to 6pm, the theme for Facebook and Twitter is to write about “Why #Bersih?” – why it’s needed, why we as individuals are choosing to walk, and why it will make Malaysia better for all Malaysians.
We call upon activists to encourage positively, avoid pressuring others, and not get drawn into unproductive arguments. Ultimately, what we need are numbers to support the cause.
Thank you all for your kind support – together we will change the country we love for the better.
Malaysian police have detained 14 opposition activists for wearing T-shirts promoting a planned rally against alleged electoral abuses.
It is the latest attempt by authorities to deter citizens from marching in Kuala Lumpur on 9 July in what the opposition hopes will be Malaysia's biggest protest in nearly four years.
The activists are demanding that authorities overhaul voter lists, introduce transparent procedures for ballots to be counted and make other policy changes ahead of national elections widely expected by mid-2012. Government officials say current electoral laws are fair enough.
Authorities have arrested nearly 100 activists in cities across the country since Friday. Some were handing out leaflets linked to the planned demonstration, while others were travelling to publicity events.
Experts: Bersih T-shirts NOT illegal
Stephanie Sta Maria | June 29, 2011
The home minister comes in for a lot of flak for pronouncing that the wearing of Bersih T-shirts is against the law.
PETALING JAYA: Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein who said wearing yellow Bersih 2.0 T-shirts is illegal came under fire from lawyers and academics today who said he was “talking nonsense”.
Hishammuddin told the press this morning that the arrests of those wearing such T-shirts are justified as it is related to an illegal activity.
However, the experts said that he is wrong on both counts as neither the rally nor the T-shirt is illegal.
Professor Aziz Bari of Universiti Islam Antarabangsa asked which law Hishammuddin was referring to in declaring that T-shirts is illegal as there was none to his knowledge that supported the minister’s contention.
“It is too far-fetched and illogical,” he told FMT. “Since when is it an offence to wear a certain colour in public? The only provision that comes remotely close is acting indecently in public and I doubt that wearing a T-shirt is an offence. Hishammuddin is talking nonsense.”
Aziz added that Hishammuddin also needed to clarify under which law was the Bersih 2.0 rally planned for July 9 deemed an illegal gathering.
He pointed out that criminalising an activity is a parliamentary decision and not that of an individual minister or the police.
“There is no such thing as absolute power of the police,” he said. “In fact, it is illegal for the police to deny permits before the organisers submit an application. That would mean the police have pre-judged the rally, which is unfair.”
Fadiah Nadwa Fikri of Lawyers for Liberty rejected Hishammuddin’s statement outright, branding it an “abuse and misuse of power”.
“There is no such law prohibiting these T-shirts,” she said. “Furthermore, these T-shirts are not linked to an illegal activity because the Federal Constitution allows the right to peaceful assembly and the constitution is higher than any other law in this country.”
“Despite being elected into the United Nations Human Rights Council last year, Malaysia is still behaving in a barbaric manner.”
LoyarBuruk co-founder, Edmund Bon, meanwhile, pointed out that the law prohibited civilians only from wearing police and military uniform, while Article 10 of the Federal Constitution allows people the freedom to dress as they please.
“A rally is only considered illegal if it seeks to incite violence,” he added. “The intention of the Bersih rally is the complete opposite. Hishammuddin’s statement smacks of arrogance and is unacceptable.”
The Home Minister Hishammuddin yesterday declared that the 'BERSIH' T-shirt is illegal because it is associated with an illegal rally.
A rally that has not taken place is already declared illegal. So that charge will have a donkey Judge saying "Correct! correct!"
I believe that if Tunku Abdul Rahman and Hussein Onn were alive today, they too would be proud to use the Bersih T-shirt. These two ex-Premier left UMNO because they were disgusted and frustrated with the way Mahathir mismanaged UMNO they formed and built up.
Today Hishammuddin has brought SHAME to his father's legacy.
Anyway, has Agong and all Royalty being inform they too cannot use their official uniform?
NIEI DEMANDS THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF MS. SONG MIN-YOUNG
by National Institute for Democracy and Electoral Integrity (NIEI) on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2:01am.
National Institute for Democracy & Electoral Integrity (NIEI) would like to counter the allegations made by main stream media, Utusan Malaysia about NIEI and our visiting intern Ms. Song Min-Young. NIEI is a non-profit, impartial, independent and neutral non-government organization (NGO) where we work closely with government agencies, NGOs, political parties and the public at large.
Ms. Song is a South Korean student and also involved in volunteer work in The May 18 Memorial Foundation. She is currently helping NIEI to help our research work on electoral system and is not in any way a foreign spy; observing the roadshow is part of NIEI work. We deplore the action taken against her by the Royal Police Force and demand for her immediate release.
NIEI was informed on 25th June, 2011 on the arrest and detention of our visiting intern Ms. Song Min-young at Ledang, Johor for participating in BERSIH but was released the following morning along with others who were detained.
On 27th June, 2011 evening, Ms. Song was re-arrested in Bangsar and detained at Bukit Jalil police station and has been charged for violating the Immigration Act. She has also been accused by mainstream media of threatening national security with communism via BERSIH.
NIEI strongly dismisses these accusations as baseless and totally incorrect. Ms. Song Min-young, a student at Chonnam National University, South Korea and interested in election and democracy. She has been helping NIEI and our research entitled “Election in Malaysia: Comparison studies between Malaysia and South Korea” . Her work required her to communicate with government agencies, non-governmental organizations as well as political parties. During her arrest in Ledang, Johor, Ms. Song was observing the work of Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) in line with her duties at NIEI.
As a matter of fact, NIEI is working closely with the Election Comission (EC) to improve the electoral system of the country and was not a part of BERSIH 2.0 coalition.
We are disappointed and sad with the accusation made by the police and Utusan Malaysia that Ms. Song is a foreign agent to disturb peace in Malaysia. We demand that Ms. Song be released and charges dropped immediately and that the Malaysian Police Force and Utusan Malaysia issue a public apology for this unlawful act.
Background of NIEI
National Institute for Democracy and Electoral Integrity (NIEI) of Malaysia began in 1999 as an informal group of like-minded activists for genuine democracy. On 4th July 2007, NIEI was officially registered.
NIEI works to enhance development of democracy in Malaysia, especially areas related to election issues and problems. Thus, NIEI is active in monitoring election processes and conducting programs on voters’ awareness.
In 2007 and 2008, NIEI was involved in voters’ education program for natives in the states of Sabah and Sarawak. This activity was about bringing awareness on the rights of voters and on making informed choices/decisions.
Since 2004, under the umbrella of ANFREL, NIEI has also participated in monitoring numerous elections in other Asian countries as observers. Among countries where NIEI has sent its observers to are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Aceh and the Philippines.
A substantial proportion of young population of Malaysia do not register as voters and many more do not participate in election, NIEI now is working among youth for their active participation in processes of Malaysian democracy

Somewhere along the line something indeed has really gone wrong and mad. In Malaysia politic is about creating a comic strip good enough for politicians's self ego but does not make sense to the people. This is the trend to be expected when the ruling Government knows that they are standing on thin ice.
But the outcome of all this stupid creative claims from the Home Ministry and Police, will create a surprising ending for someone considered gone and without hope.
Yes, Khairy is playing a duel poker game with UMNO and PKR.
Mahathir thinks he is smart, Najib rather Rosmah thinks she is smart and the Opposition with Azmin Ali holding the whip thinks he is smart. But Khairy says he is smarter now.
The Malays believe in THE MAGIC of R.A.H.M.A.N BUT WHO DOES ALL MALAYSIANS WANT?

Dear Tan Sri,
I understand you are a very busy man to answer or rather reply your mails. But if you are to do your job properly that is befitting to your position: your first priority is to read, understand and to reply. My friends said you NO UNDERSTAND ENGLISH so you just throw everything that are English into the bin.
To me you are typical Government Servant who NEVER reply full stop.
But today is not about your tidak apa attitude but rather a disturbing fact that like the previous IGP you are BIASED.
I have complaint several times to Bukit Aman about the gambling dens in Jalan Belangkas, Off Kg Pandan that belong to the Police and UMNO bastards. Even at the recent meeting with the Police and surau members in Taman Maluri, the issue of the growing number of gambling dens was brought up. Till today nothing has been done to curb or close down these gambling dens. At the end of the day, it is the Malay Youth in Desa Pandan, Taman Maluri, Ampang, Pandan Indah, Pandah Jaya, Cempaka and other neighbouring
Yesterday I was lucky not arrested for wearing the Bersih T-shirt walking in Chow Kit, Brickfields and Puduraya. But some unfortunate friends are arrested. What is their crime may I ask?
When Perkasa and other Brainless Malay Youth Gang go on rampage and stage Protest everywhere. That is okay and even given a helping hand by the Police Force. At no time was a POLICE PERMIT given or applied for.
So Tan Sri don’t be a dog and remember that you will live to regret that your own flesh and blood will be involve in illegal activities in my area and some of them might live like caged animals being ill-treated by Perkasa and the Brainless Malay Youth Gang.
By the way how does it feel being on 24 hours watch under Deputy Khalid?
Saturday, June 25, 2011
What is this big heap about the 9th July 2011 that got the Government, Perkasa and Police working overtime? There are many serious crimes being committed and all the Police and certain uneducated bastards can do is jump up and down like mentally retarded monkey.
These Bastards are earless when it comes to the people’s growing frustration and anger. The people are demanding their right to not a perfect but a fair Election where the Government cannot misuse the people’s money to cheat and bribe voters. Najib since taken the Premier seat have been brazen in his speeches to voters to “stretch his back and I will stretch yours, vote for BN and you will have this million for this and that and have asked the youth and the Malays to defend Putrajaya at all cost.” Even before he sat on the Premiership, he and his cousin Hisham have sworn to have Chinese Blood on the Keris. Khairy the UMNO Youth Chief had even spitted their high and mighty saliva on the pillars at the Chinese Assembly Hall.
Certain people are saying that Malaysian Election has been fair all this while, otherwise how could the opposition win over Five States in 2008. From what I know from the mouth of Senior UMNO members is that the same amount of phantom and postal voters were put in place for the past elections were used without any increase. So when more people decided enough is enough and voted for the opposition the ruling Government had an awakening that shock them till today. So this time round EC is making sure they triple the amount of phantom and postal voters so that what happened in 2008 cannot happen again at the 13th General Election. But they forget that old Kutty wants to be buried at Putrajaya.
Whatever happens on the 9th July 2011, Kutty will be the ultimate winner and the rest can go to hell.
So I would like to propose getting the people to sign a petition to the King (Agong) to invite two representatives from Perkasa, UMNO Youth and Bersih for high tea at the Palace on the 9th July 2011. This way everyone goes home happy and let Kutty do the jumping instead.
After all, IA and the Trio Datuks already got their payment in full; why not wait for another round to make more.

Aquaponics is the integration of aquaculture and hydroponics, essentially the fish wastes provide a valuable nutrient source for the plants, and in turn the plants filter the water for the fish. Plant off cuts can then be composted in a wormery to provide food for the fish. The system produces fast growing and incredibly succulent vegetable and fruit crops whilst also providing fish either for eating or for interest. Aquaponics is a sustainable, fun and simple way to produce excellent quality food for your kitchen, your friends and family, your community or for sale commercially.
How Aquaponics Works In More Detail
Fish excrete both faeces and urine, but also urea from their gills, this normally toxic form of nitrogen (ammonia) is converted by (friendly) bacteria, Nitrosomas sp. and Nitrobacter sp. to nitrites (still toxic) and finally to nitrates which from the N part of the NPK ratio that plants require.
This harmless form of nitrates is then taken up by the plants are eventually harvested. Due to this natural form of harvestable filtration in the system, water can be reused, recycled and re- circu- lated. This means aquaponics has the potential to be a “closed loop” system, with minimal im- pacts on the environment. Beneficial insects and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies can be used to control pests with mini- mal.
Prices for food are going up. We are now facing food scare like E-coli. In time we will also have shortage of land for agriculture and water to feed the ever growing population.
Finding alternate source of growing our own food, be healthy and keeping the environment friendly is the only solution.
Aquaponics is the answer.

Life is complicated, yet fun. Only recently I had an opportunity to tell a story about an erupted in our outskirts a Deputy from the Russian LDPR-party, Ashot Egiazaryane, who escaped from Moscow because of charges of fraud and who is now hanging out in California, fooling as a second Khodorkovskiy and requests political asylum. And here is a no less entertaining story about a Kazakh boy, Daniyar Nazarbayev. Also a complicated one... absurdly.
In 2006, a young citizen of the independent Kazakhstan arrived to New York. He was shining around with his sounding last name and loaded with unbelievable amounts of cash that was an easy pray for experienced people here.
In October 2006, New York Post wrote that Daniyar Nazarbayev, who was named in the publication as "the son of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev", acquired couple of apartments located at 55 Wall Street. One of the apartments with two bedrooms cost $2.9 million, and the other one located below, with only one bedroom, was $2.1 million. I don't know either it's true or rumors, but the press reported that "the President Nazarbayev personally visited the house, when attended the UN summit, and then, apparently, approved the purchase". It smells like really big money.
Among the first wishing to join the newfound loot were the Ivy Success consultants. For $200,000 they committed to help the young newcomer to enroll into one of the eight Ivy League universities, either to Harvard, or to Yale... Even so, the amount is still unbelievable. After all, we are speaking about tutoring, top rate for which is $50 per hour for a hundred hours a month. They probably wouldn't ask for more if it wouldn't be for the royal last name of the applicant. It's apparent that it wasn't only New York Post that decided that Daniyar was the son of the everlasting President of Kazakhstan. Newly appeared prince was mysteriously silent that only confirmed his rumored royal origin.
After receiving their $200,000 the Ivy Success consultants for some reason lost interest in the young man and stopped loving him for this money, declaring that he is not ready for the Ivy League universities. They, however, did not return the money, which led to a lawsuit. Those days the American press mocked comparing cini-nutcase from Kazakhstan "Borat" and very real Kazakhs, Daniyar and his mother Mayra Nazarbayeva, who made a bad shot in a such an easy case. However, Daniyar is a stubborn kid and managed to enroll into an Ivy League Columbia University and will be graduating within the next few days.
And this is where the fun begins because Daniyar Nazarbayev is not Nazarbayev, and his documents proving his secondary education that were the basis for enrolling into the university – excuse me for bad manners – are pure crap. Having said that, his mother Mayra also doesn't have such a sounding last name and with whom the Kazakh law enforcement agencies would love to talk to due to her wide range of life adventures every now and then being in conflict with the Kazakh laws. Generally speaking, cine Kazakh Borat is out of competition...
Let's begin with Daniyar. By the time he was admitted to the Columbia University, he had two school diplomas – Diploma from Leysin American School (Switzerland), issued in 2005, which did not give him the right to attend an institution of higher education as it was incomplete, and a High School Diploma, issued in the same 2005 by the high school (gymnasium) in a small town Talgar in Almaty District in Kazakhstan. Don't ask me how it is possible to simultaneously study in Switzerland and Kazakhstan – I don't know. Ask Daniyar – he is a step away from receiving his bachelor's degree and perhaps he could disperse the doubts.
All this really sounds as a scam since the administration of that very Kazakh school does not know anything about its graduate with a royal last name, and the Swiss have confirmed that Daniyar's diploma is incomplete. I'm not sure how it is in Switzerland, but within the former Soviet territories it was possible to buy for fifty bucks during those times a completely legitimate blank of any document proving the graduation – from vocational schools to MSU. And for an extra bribe, with a "real-live" seals and entering into appropriate registration books of such academic institutions.
So the famous Columbia University should think twice before issuing Daniyar a Bachelor's degree: what if the graduate is indeed ... with higher education, but without secondary one... Columbians got fooled, apparently... Not good... Not prestigious... Borat is out of competition...
When it comes to the last name of nearly bachelor, nothing is so smooth either. As is reported by the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan, this last name was taken away by the decision of the appropriate agencies, as it was illegally acquired, and all the documents, including passport, were disowned back in February 2010. It turns out since that date he is present in the USA with illegal documents.
Daniyar can thank his mother, born Mayra Kurmangaliyeva, for his last name and all the transformations in this regard. It was she who lured Bolat Nazarbayev into her net – a real relative (who is said to be the sibling) of the Kazakh President – and married him, in a hurry forgetting to divorce her previous husband D. Kesikbayev, whose last name Daniyar had before receiving his second birth certificate with the last name Nazarbayev. There are legends in Kazakhstan about this lady with regards to her resourcefulness, non-fastidiousness and indifference to laws.
Dude by name Daniyar and with a strange last name, appears to be no less pacey than his mother when it comes to matrimonial matters. There are rumors that he charmed Nooryana Najwa, the daughter of Prime-Minister of Malaysia, and about to marry her. Why not? Prominent guy, full of dough, with the last name that takes the breath away... However, if I were Malaysian dad I'd check just in case: was Daniyar married when he was younger. Apple from an apple tree, as you know... and Alma-Ata after all is the city of apples and apple trees.
Though, let's let the Kazakhs and Malaysians deal with this themselves.
I, however, have a set of questions to our American governmental officials.
How did it happen that whoever can purchase very expensive housing in USA without proper financial document check? How can a foreigner, whose documents were disavowed in his own country, continue to quietly live in the US?
Finally, how did it happen that a person with shady secondary education documents reached graduation from one of the most prestigious universities of the country?

There are only 14 million Jews in the world; seven million in the Americas , five million in Asia, two million in Europe and 100,000 in
Africa . For every single Jew in the world there are 100 Muslims.
Yet, Jews are more than a hundred times more powerful than all the Muslims put together.
Ever wondered why?
Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish.
Albert Einstein, the most influential scientist of all time and TIME magazine's 'Person of the Century', was a Jew.
Sigmund Freud -- id, ego, superego -- the father of psychoanalysis was a Jew.
So were Karl Marx, Paul Samuelson and Milton Friedman.
Here are a few other Jews whose intellectual output has enriched the whole humanity:
Benjamin Rubin gave humanity the vaccinating needle.
Jonas Salk developed the first polio vaccine.
Albert Sabin developed the improved live polio vaccine.
Gertrude Elion gave us a leukemia fighting drug.
Baruch Blumberg developed the vaccination for Hepatitis B.
Paul Ehrlich discovered a treatment for syphilis (a sexually transmitted disease).
Elie Metchnikoff won a Nobel &! nbsp;Prize in infectious diseases.
Bernard Katz won a Nobel Prize in neuromuscular transmission.
Andrew Schally won a Nobel in endocrinology (disorders of the endocrine system; diabetes, hyperthyroidism) .
Aaron Beck founded Cognitive Therapy (psychotherapy to treat mental disorders, depression and phobias).
Gregory Pincus developed the first oral contraceptive pill.
George Wald won a Nobel for furthering our understanding of the human eye.
Stanley Cohen won a Nobel in embryology (study of embryos and their development) .
Willem Kolff came up with the kidney dialysis machine.
Over the past 105 years, 14 million Jews have won 15-dozen Nobel Prizes while only three Nobel Prizes have been won by 1.4 billion
Muslims (other than Peace Prizes).
Why are Jews so powerful?
Stanley Mezor invented the first micro-processing chip.
Leo Szilard developed the first nuclear chain reactor;
Peter Schultz, optical fibre cable;
Charles Adler, traffic lights;
Benno Strauss, Stainless steel;
Isador Kisee, sound movies;
Emile Berliner, telephone microphone;
Charles Ginsburg, videotape recorder.
Famous financiers in the business world who belong to Jewish faith include
Ralph Lauren (Polo),
Levis Strauss (Levi's Jeans),
Howard Schultz (Starbuck's) ,
Sergey Brin (Google),
Michael Dell (Dell Computers),
Larry Ellison (Oracle),
Donna Karan (DKNY),
Irv Robbins (Baskins & Robbins) and
Bill Rosenberg (Dunkin Donuts).
Richard Levin, President of Yale University, is a Jew. So are Henry Kissinger (American secretary of state), Alan Greenspan (Fed chairman under Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush), Joseph Lieberman (US Senator), Madeleine Albright (American secretary of state), Casper
Weinberger (American secretary of defense), Maxim Litvinov ( USSR foreign Minister), David Marshal ( Singapore 's first chief minister), Issac Isaacs (governor-general of Australia ), Benjamin
Disraeli (British statesman and author), Yevgeny Primakov (Russian PM), Barry Goldwater (US Senator), Jorge Sampaio (president of Portugal ), John Deutsch (CIA director), Herb Gray (Canadian deputy PM), Pierre Mendes (French PM), Michael Howard (British home
secretary), Bruno Kreisky (chancellor of Austria ) and Robert Rubin (American secretary of treasury).
In the media, famous Jews include Wolf Blitzer (CNN), Barbara Walters (ABC News), Eugene Meyer (Washington Post), Henry Grunwald
(editor-in-chief Time), Katherine Graham (publisher of The Washington Post), Joseph Lelyveld (Executive editor, The New York Times), and Max Frankel (New York Times).
Can you name the most beneficent philanthropist in the history of the world? The name is George Soros, a Jew, who has so far donated a colossal
$4 billion most of which has gone as aid to scientists and universities around the world.
Second to George Soros is Walter Annenberg, another Jew, who has built a hundred libraries by donating an estimated $2 billion.
At the Olympics, Mark Spitz set a record of sorts by winning seven gold medals.
Lenny Krayzelburg is a three-time Olympic gold medalist.
Spitz, Krayzelburg and Boris Becker (Tennis) are all Jewish.
Did you know that Harrison Ford, George Burns, Tony Curtis, Charles Bronson, Sandra Bullock, Billy Crystal, Woody Allen, Paul Newman,
Peter Sellers, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Douglas, Ben Kingsley, Kirk Douglas, Goldie Hawn, Cary Grant, William Shatner, Jerry Lewis and
Peter Falk are all Jewish?
As a matter of fact, Hollywood itself was founded by a Jew. Among directors and producers, Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Oliver Stone,
Aaron Spelling ( Beverly Hills 90210), Neil Simon (The Odd Couple), Andrew Vaina (Rambo 1/2/3), Michael Man (Starsky and Hutch), Milos
Forman (One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest), Douglas Fairbanks (The Thief of Baghdad ) and Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters) are all Jewish.
So, why are Jews so powerful?
There are an estimated 1,476,233,470 Muslims on the face of the planet: one billion in Asia, 400 million in Africa, 44 million in Europe and six million in the Americas . Every fifth human being is a Muslim; for every single Hindu there are two Muslims, for every Buddhist there are two Muslims and for every Jew there are one hundred Muslims.
Ever wondered why Muslims are so powerless?
Here is why: There are 57 member-countries of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), and all of them put together have around
500 universities; one university for every three million Muslims. The United States has 5,758 universities and India has 8,407.
In 2004, Shanghai Jiao Tong University compiled an 'Academic Ranking of World Universities' , and intriguingly, not one university from Muslim-majority states was in the top-500.
As per data collected by the UNDP, literacy in the Christian world stands at nearly 90 per cent and 15 Christian-majority states have a literacy rate of 100 per cent.
A Muslim-majority state, as a sharp contrast, has an average literacy rate of around 40 per cent and there is no Muslim-majority state with
a literacy rate of 100 per cent.
Some 98 per cent of the 'literates' in the Christian world had completed primary school, while less than 50 per cent of the 'literates' in the Muslim world did the same.
Around 40 per cent of the 'literates' in the Christian world attended university while no more than two per cent of the 'literates' in the Muslim world did the same.
Muslim-majority countries have 230 scientists per one million Muslims. The US has 4,000 scientists per million and Japan has 5,000 per million.
In the entire Arab world, the total number of full-time researchers is 35,000 and there are only 50 technicians per one million Arabs. (in the Christian world there are up to 1,000 technicians per one million).
Furthermore, the Muslim world spends 0.2 per cent of its GDP on research and development, while the Christian world spends around five per cent of its GDP.
Conclusion: The Muslim world lacks the capacity to produce knowledge!
Daily newspapers per 1,000 people and number of book titles per million are two indicators of whether knowledge is being diffused in a society.
In Pakistan, there are 23 daily newspapers per 1,000 Pakistanis while the same ratio in Singapore is 360. In the UK , the number of book
titles per million stands at 2,000 while the same in Egypt is 20.
Conclusion: The Muslim world is failing to diffuse knowledge.
Exports of high technology products as a percentage of total exports are an important indicator of knowledge application. Pakistan 's export of high technology products as a percentage of total exports stands at one per cent. The same for Saudi Arabia is 0.3 per cent; Kuwait , Morocco , and Algeria are all at 0.3 per cent, while Singapore is at 58 per cent.
Conclusion: The Muslim world is failing to apply knowledge.
Why are Muslims powerless?
.....Because we aren't producing knowledge,
.....Because we aren't diffusing knowledge.,
.....Because we aren't applying knowledge.
And, the future belongs to knowledge-based societies.
Interestingly, the combined annual GDP of 57 OIC-countries is under $2 trillion.
America , just by herself, produces goods and services worth $12 trillion;
China $8 trillion,
Japan $3.8 trillion and
Germany $2.4 trillion (purchasing power parity basis).
Oil rich Saudi Arabia , UAE, Kuwait and Qatar collectively produce goods and services (mostly oil) worth $500 billion;
Spain alone produces goods and services worth over $1 trillion,
Catholic Poland $489 billion and
Buddhist Thailand $545 billion.
..... ( Muslim GDP as a percentage of world GDP is fast declining ).
So, why are Muslims so powerless?
Answer: Lack of education.
All we do is shout to Allah the whole day !!! and blame everyone else for our multiplefailures!!!!!

"The involvement of the Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in international conventions and seminars is seen as something positive as it elevates the country's image. Indirectly, she will also be able to shape international perception on the country's achievements," Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz told the Dewan Rakyat.
International and Malaysia perception that Rosmah should be thrown down from Putrajaya or Jalan Duta, similar to the way Teoh Beng Hock and Sarbani had their lives ended. This action will definitely enhance Islam and bring in more tourists than spending RM1.8 million on free websites to promote the country on Facebook.
Leave it to Yen and you will have no more YEN.

On the 9th July 2011, thousands and thousands of concern Malaysians will march to demand that the Election Commission clean up their act of cheating, lies and arrogant ways towards the people who wants fair and just Election.
Perkasa and several so-call Malay groups have already lodge police reports. But what is happening behind the scene is most intriguing. Several senior UMNO members are planning to turn the gathering into a May 13 event. Mat Rempits, gangsters drug addicts and Malay youth from the kampungs are promised a payment of RM1,000 to wear the Bersih 2 tee-shirts and to carry pocket knives. Is the old fart and DPM behind the plot? There is rumour that US$1 million exchange hands between Perkasa and DPM across the sea.
