F1 team for billionaire's children

In China, the government thinks of ways to generate more income, employment and increase tourism to the country, at the same time get free advertisements around the world, without burdening its people. Another innovative attraction next year will be the Chocolate Theme Park. The 'world chocolate dream park', reminiscent of Ronald Dahl's beloved book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", will feature a life-size edible Terracotta Army, Great Wall and versions of famous paintings. The park, due to open in January 2010, will be located in the Olympic Green, which also includes the iconic Bird's Nest stadium and the Water Cube aquatics centre used during the Beijing Summer Games last year.

Back home in Malaysia here, our PM Najib had written off our money into a millionaire cum billionaire club by having our own F1 team. People like Mahathir and Daim are in support of this by coming out with their reasoning how this F1 team would benefit us in the long run.

I am no Formula fan but I do know for a fact that both Mahathir’s and Daim’s sons would be the ones to benefit. I for one do not want my hard earned money to pay for someone else interest and excitement. Why can’t the government come out with something that would benefit us like what China and South Korea are doing, instead of the elite members? Both Mahathir and Daim are billionaire, surely they can afford to buy an island and do what they want with it, why burden us further? This country is already in deep shit financially, why throw away good money?

As for Tony Fernandez, surely there is a better way of getting a Tunship instead of coming out with this F1 team scheme.

I am sure there are many people like me who would like to see the money going to the Penan people instead of providing excitement and fun for billionaires’ children.
