UMNO Good At Patchwork

During my primary school days, we have sewing class in our schedule. Nowadays school authorities think it is a waste of time. But one must understand the real value of such education in long term. Today the Education Ministry is loaded with people who are only working for themselves. They would only plan for 9 months and that’s it for the year. For the following year they will again sit down and talk cock and come out with another silly schedule for another 9 months. That is how far the so called educated chicken brain people we have in the government can think.

Today it was reported that top civil servants will contribute a column to the Star entitled At Your Service. The column is to connect with the public. It will be a two way traffic, not talking down to the people.

Well and good. But that is what I have been doing for the past years. Write, criticize, question, offered my service etc………………direct to the Mayor, Federal Minister, Chief Secretary, DPM and even PM. Everything were ignore and thrown into the bins.

People like the Chief Secretary and the top brass do not live in our world. To them we are a thorn in the butt to ignore. Their children are put in International Schools. Then given scholarships overseas to study. If they decide to come back, they automatically get a job. Their lives are so easy. If they have no money, no problem they can get bank loan to do what they wish and not service it. Better still do like their parents do, accept bribe and the whole process go another cycle and they live happily and wonder why the heck we the ordinary folks are screaming our heads off and working like donkeys to no end.

Daily we struggle with the transport fiasco and the good Minister Nazri said with the increase of fare everything will work out. All my life I heard that and now my children also hear the same old story but the transport system is getting worse. I learned from my primary school that patchwork can only look good if it is patchable but if the hole is too big, throw it away and make a new one. We cannot go around patching here and there. The whole present system is not workable any longer what we need is a workable system. Is it that difficult, when 27 million people are affected one way or another?
